The Bible says, 'The Lord thy God is one,' but I think He must be a lot older than that. Anyway, God said, 'Give me a light!' and someone did. Then God made the world. He split the Adam and made Eve.

Adam and Eve were naked, but they weren't embarrassed because mirrors hadn't been invented yet. Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating one bad apple, so they were driven from the Garden of Eden. Not sure what they were driven in though, because they didn't have cars. ; Adam and Eve had a son, Cain, who hated his brother as long as he was Abel. Pretty soon all of the early people died off, except for Methuselah, who lived to be like a million or something. One of the next important people was Noah, who was a good guy, but one of his kids was kind of a ham. Noah built a large boat and put his family and some animals on it. He asked some other people to join him, but they said they would have to take a rain check.

After Noah came Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Jacob was more famous than his brother, Esau, because Esau sold Jacob his birthmark in exchange for some pot roast. Jacob had a son named Joseph who wore a really loud sports coat.

Another important Bible guy is Moses, whose real name was Charlton Heston. Moses led the Israel Light s out of Egypt and away from the evil Pharaoh after God sent ten plagues on Pharaoh's people. These plagues included frogs, mice, lice, bowels, and no cable. God fed the Israel Lights every day with manicotti. Then He gave them His top ten commandments. These include don't lie, cheat, smoke, dance, or covet your neighbor's bottom (the Bible uses a bad word for bottom that I'm not supposed to say. But my Dad uses it sometimes when he talks about the President). Oh, yeah, I just thought of one more: Humor thy father and thy mother.

One of Moses' best helpers was Joshua, who was the first Bible guy to use spies. Joshua fought the battle of Geritol and the fence fell over on the town. After Joshua came David. He got to be king by killing a giant with a slingshot. He had a son named Solomon who had about 300 wives and 500 porcupines. My teacher says he was wise, but that doesn't sound very wise to me.

After Solomon there were a bunch of major league prophets. One of these was Jonah, who was swallowed by a big whale and then barfed up on the shore. There were also some minor league prophets, but I guess we don't have to worry about them.

After the Old Testament came the New Testament. Jesus is the star of the New Testament. He was born in Bethlehem in a barn. (I wish I had been born in a barn, too, because my mom is always saying to me, Close the door! Were you born in a barn?' It would be nice to say, 'As a matter of fact, I was.')

During His life, Jesus had many arguments with sinners like the Pharisees and the Republicans. Jesus also had twelve opossums. The worst one was Judas Asparagus. Judas was so evil that they named a terrible vegetable after him.

Jesus was a great man He healed many leopards and even preached to some Germans on the Mount. But the Republicans and all those guys put Jesus on trial before Pontius the Pilot. Pilot didn't stick up for Jesus. He just washed his hands instead.

Anyways, Jesus died for our sins, then came back to life again. He went up to Heaven, but will be back at the end of the Aluminum. His return is foretold in the book of Revolution.

There! Now you understand it.

me

Yay!

Just wanted to share very quickly... my sweet baby boy has his first tooth! Actually my thoughts all involve my daughter, Sarah, and leaving her behind:

Before we left Paul and I had to complete our will's. (Unfortuantely we hadn't done that since she was born) It scared me to death (no pun intended) to even think about what could possibly happen to us either traveling or even while in Rome. But it had to be done. The night before we left I was very weepy and not wanting to leave her - even though she was giong to be in great hands. I called home every day just to make sure she was ok - no matter what the cost. Upon our return last night, I cried and cried once I finally saw her and held her in my arms. (It brings tears to my eyes as I type this.) She hugged me and kissed me and wouldn't let me go. (The feeling was mutual.) I am writing all this to say two things:

Can you imagine what God feels when we leave Him, yet decide to return?

Most importantly, I can only hope that when I get to Heaven that God will hug me, kiss me, and hold me as I did with Sarah to show me His amazing and everlasting love.

I can truly say that I have felt the love that God feels for His children. I love my daughter more than anything else in this world (not sure how healthy that is; nevertheless, it's the case). I would do absolutely anything for her. That is how God's love is for me and you. Isn't that the most wonderful thing?

Is your little one sleeping through the night?

Just when you think that your child is starting to finally sleep through the night and you will start to get some sleep.....think again.

FINALLY Presley started to sleep through the night. I though I was going to be able to get a good nights rest for the first time in 6 months. All I am asking for is at least 6 hours of uninterrupted sleep. Is that too much to ask? I really don't think so. But Presley has been a trooper and we have had some talks at 3:30 in the morning and she has agreed to start sleeping until 6:30 am. Wonderful! We have done great since last Monday night. I will lay Presley down around 8:45 pm and she has been sleeping until 6:30 the next morning.

But then it happened, Reagan has started waking up at around 3:30 am and wanting to climb in bed with us. It might seem cute and innocent the first time or even the second time but we are going now on 4 nights in a row. What do you do? I am so tired I let her crawl in bed with us and then take her back to her bed about an hour later. I do not want to get into this habit. He is almost eight months and does not have the slightest interest in going anywhere (unless it is rolling). Is it because he has no examples, no one to show him? We need play dates! I guess he will just be a little behind (just like every other boy) :), because we still don't even have teeth! He seems to be getting a little bit of a cold also (coughing, sneezing, runny nose... maybe signs of teeth to come...). Poor baby! At least I'll be home soon to spend more time with him. Also... (I know I am full of questions today!) he is like a human torch! He always sweats. Anyone else's little one do that or should I ask the doctor? Anyway, only 5 days left! I love the idea of having another place to go to get "mom input." Mothering is challenging yet one of the most rewarding things a woman can do. I wanted a way for all of the moms I know to be able to get together and talk, but I wasn't sure how to get everyone together. Then the idea of a blog was suggested and I thought "What a GREAT idea!" We could have a forum to share thoughts, ask questions, and vent frustrations and we never have to try to get everyone together. So I hope you will all accept the invitation to be authors of this blog. Write often and please feel free to write about anything! Also, if you know a mom you would like me to invite to be an author just let me know!
